Our Team

We are a group of colleagues from Oregon State University, Texas A&M University, and the University of Minnesota studying job search, adjusting to new jobs, career changes, and barriers in hiring. Outside of work, we enjoy bike rides, hiking, and spending time with our families and pets.

  • Le (Betty) Zhou

    Dr. Le (Betty) Zhou is an Associate Professor at Texas A&M University. Her research aims to improve workers' well-being and productivity. When she is not doing research or teaching, she loves to spend time with her kitties.

  • Connie Wanberg

    Dr. Connie Wanberg is a Professor at the University of Minnesota. She teaches classes about human resources management. Her research informs factors related to quality reemployment. She has two grown up kids and loves spending time outdoors.

  • Borbala (Bori) Csillag

    Dr. Borbala (Bori) Csillag is an Assistant Professor of Management at Oregon State University. She researches job search and different types of careers and teaches business ethics. She has become a hiker since moving to Oregon and sometimes sings in choir.

  • Abdifatah Ali

    Dr. Abdifatah Ali is an Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota. His research explores how organizations can cultivate inclusive workplaces. When not working, he likes to spend time with family and enjoy outdoor activities.
